Plantation Lodge is situated just outside the town of Kiratu in Northern Tanzania, on the lower slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater. It offers a peaceful haven among the vastness of the remote Northern Tanzania. The location of Plantation Lodge offers easy access to the entrance of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Ngorongoro Crater, a short drive from the Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks as well as the Serengeti.

Plantation Lodge Game Viewing and Activities

The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage site and approximately 50 minutes away from Plantation Lodge. Visitors will reach the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2,300 meters where they will witness spectacular scenes. Approximately 25,000 animals live in the caldera which has a diameter of 19 kilometers; zebras, buffalo, antelope, lions, black rhinos, hippos, elephants all feed on the abundant grazing grounds and the groundwater of the crater floor. Guests at Plantation Lodge can also enjoy fantastic bird-watching in the garden or visit a coffee plantation; a visit to one of the adjacent farms can also be arranged or guests can indulge in a relaxing and luxurious massage. Bush dinners and night game drives in Lake Manyara National Park is another option.
